Man reaches for knife during police operation in Braunschweig

During a police response to a neighbour dispute on Ernst-Amme-Straße in Braunschweig, a 43-year-old man first threatened his neighbour and kicked her apartment door. When officers arrived, he refused to provide his personal details and attempted to reach for a knife. Officers prevented him from doing so. He then allegedly tried to strike an officer with his fist. He was restrained, taken into custody and spent the night there. The officers were not injured, and several criminal proceedings were opened.
