Knife injury after altercation in Braunschweig

A 19-year-old man was injured in the head with a kitchen knife during a physical altercation involving three young men on Celler Straße in Braunschweig on 10 February. The dispute was reportedly preceded by an argument about a pet. Two men, including a minor, allegedly struck the 19-year-old after he had fallen to the ground; he then drew a knife. As the fight continued, both 19-year-olds were injured and received medical treatment at the scene. The man with the knife initially left the area but was later located at his home address. Police seized the knife and opened proceedings against all three participants on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
