Man threatens passers-by with knife at Nicolaiplatz
On Monday afternoon, a man is reported to have randomly threatened passers-by with a visibly carried knife at Nicolaiplatz in the old town of Brandenburg an der Havel. Officers located and restrained him, and a knife found in his possession was seized. No one was injured. Because he may have been experiencing an acute mental health crisis, officers called emergency services, which took the suspect to a specialist clinic. Police recorded a criminal complaint for making threats.
