Man seriously injured in attack in Bottrop
A 28-year-old employee of a towing company was attacked and seriously injured on Rheinbabenstraße in Bottrop on Saturday evening. He had been called to a job, but police said there was no broken-down vehicle at the stated location.
An unidentified person allegedly attacked him instead. The 28-year-old sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He was not in danger of death.
A witness noticed the injured man at about 21:20, provided assistance and alerted police. The unidentified attacker fled, and investigators are examining the background to the attack.
