Three injured in knife attack at Berliner Platz in Bottrop
Several teenagers and young men became involved in an altercation at Berliner Platz in Bottrop on Thursday evening. Three victims—two minors and an 18-year-old man—sustained minor stab injuries and received outpatient treatment.
According to the victims, the assault began at around 9:45 p.m. near a supermarket after they had been approached by a young man or teenager. A larger group then allegedly came towards them, with members said to have been carrying knives. The injured men initially left the scene and were later located by police near the city park. Police say they have leads regarding suspects, and the people involved are believed to know one another. The investigation is ongoing.
