Man remanded in custody after knife attack in Bönnigheim
A 48-year-old man is alleged to have attacked a 59-year-old man on Schmiedsberger Weg in Bönnigheim at about 23:15 on 31 July. According to police and prosecutors, he first deliberately drove his car toward the 59-year-old, who jumped aside; the victim's bicycle was struck. The suspect then allegedly approached the man with a knife and inflicted several cuts to his upper body. Two men present overpowered him. The seriously injured victim was taken to hospital and left after treatment. The suspect was arrested at the scene and a judge ordered his remand in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
