Man remanded in custody after alleged knife attack in Bielefeld
Following an argument in an apartment at a student residence on Wertherstraße in Bielefeld, a 23-year-old man is alleged to have injured his 26-year-old roommate with a knife on the evening of 8 June. Other residents alerted police after hearing calls for help. The 26-year-old suffered serious injuries and received inpatient hospital treatment; due to significant blood loss, the injuries were reportedly temporarily life-threatening. The suspect was provisionally arrested. On 9 June, a court ordered his remand in custody over allegations of attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm.
