Man injured in knife stabbing in Charlottenburg
A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old man became involved in an altercation near a barbershop on Goethestraße in Charlottenburg on the evening of 17 July. The 29-year-old is suspected of inflicting multiple stab wounds on the other man with a knife. The 26-year-old received inpatient hospital treatment and, according to police, was not in life-threatening danger.
A second 29-year-old man is then alleged to have struck the suspected knife attacker on the head with a wooden pole. He suffered a laceration to the head and was also taken to hospital. Officers subsequently detained him provisionally, while investigators continue to examine the background to the altercations.
