Man found with stab wounds at Berlin accommodation facility

A man was found with multiple stab wounds in his room at an accommodation facility for refugees on Columbiadamm in Berlin-Tempelhof on the afternoon of 14 May. He was taken to hospital for inpatient treatment, and doctors said his injuries were not life-threatening.

According to the initial investigation, three residents had been celebrating together beforehand. A physical confrontation is alleged to have followed an insult during the gathering. Two men were provisionally detained and later released. They are suspected of dangerous bodily harm, while investigators are still examining the specific roles and actions involved.
