Knife and axe involved in confrontation at Kottbusser Tor
Following an alleged robbery on the platform at Kottbusser Tor underground station in Berlin, a 28-year-old man is said to have snatched 20 euros from a 41-year-old woman. He is then alleged to have struck the woman and her 38-year-old companion. The 38-year-old man is said to have drawn a knife and made stabbing motions towards a 24-year-old man who was allegedly accompanying the 28-year-old. The two men are in turn alleged to have produced an axe and swung it several times towards the woman and her companion. Police arrested the 24-year-old and the 28-year-old near the station; the investigation is ongoing. The 38-year-old suffered facial injuries but initially declined treatment.
