Man injured with pointed object at Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station

A 25-year-old man was injured in the abdomen with a pointed object during a dispute at Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station in Berlin-Mitte. Police said the as-yet unidentified attacker was at the station with two other people at about 1:15 a.m. when the confrontation occurred. The injured man required emergency surgery in hospital but was never in life-threatening condition. The attacker then fled with his companions, and the investigation remains ongoing.
