Man injured on hand during confrontation in Neukölln

A 28-year-old man suffered a hand injury in Berlin-Neukölln on the evening of 18 September while trying to fend off a knife. Police said that, as he was about to enter his car parked on Sonnenallee, a group of about eight people confronted him over a witness statement he had made and several people allegedly struck him. One suspect is said to have threatened him with the knife. Passers-by tried to intervene, and about 30 people later faced each other and threw objects. The injured man received outpatient hospital treatment. A 26-year-old suspect has been identified and further investigations are continuing.
