Knife present during altercation in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg
During an altercation involving several allegedly intoxicated people on Schönhauser Allee in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, a 38-year-old man was reportedly holding a knife. Public-order staff alerted police at about 6:30 pm. A 53-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the chest and was treated in an intensive care unit; according to the information available, his life was not in danger. The 38-year-old sustained abrasions to an arm and a facial laceration and was treated at the scene. Police secured a knife with blood traces and a utility knife. The 38-year-old was temporarily held in custody and released after identification procedures and a blood draw; he is under investigation on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm. The 53-year-old is accused of simple bodily harm.
