Man arrested after knife attack in Berlin-Staaken
A 58-year-old man allegedly attacked a 59-year-old acquaintance with a knife following an argument in Berlin-Staaken on Saturday evening. The two men had been walking on the pavement on Magistratsweg at about 9:25 pm when, according to the information available, the younger man drew a knife and stabbed the older man several times. The 59-year-old suffered a cut to the neck and stab wounds to the torso. He was admitted to hospital and underwent surgery. The suspect initially fled towards Maulbeerallee but was arrested there. He had also suffered head injuries and received medical treatment. Police recovered the broken blade of the alleged weapon along his escape route.
