Berlin-Wedding: Man allegedly attacked phone owner's companion with a knife

A 42-year-old man allegedly attacked a 21-year-old man and his friend of the same age at his apartment in Berlin-Wedding using a knife attached to a rod. The two had gone there after locating a phone that had previously been stolen; the 21-year-old had identified the resident as the suspected thief from video footage. Police said the man opened a window and made a stabbing motion at the companion's head height, but the intended victim was able to move away. When officers arrived, the suspect barricaded himself inside, threatened police officers and stabbed a knife through a damaged apartment door. Special forces entered the apartment and arrested him.
