Private-hire driver robbed at knifepoint in Berlin-Buckow
According to police, a 45-year-old private-hire driver was robbed by two unidentified men during the night of 1 July in Berlin-Buckow. At about 12:30 a.m., a passenger he had previously transported allegedly held a knife to the driver's neck from behind after they reached the destination on Drusenheimer Weg. A second man, who was allegedly waiting for the vehicle there, reportedly opened the driver's door and demanded money.
The passenger is alleged to have then taken the driver's wallet. His accomplice allegedly sprayed the man with irritant spray before both fled. The driver suffered irritation to his eyes and skin as well as shoulder pain and received outpatient hospital treatment. Police are investigating.
