Man allegedly threatened Berlin late-night shop owner with knife

A 25-year-old man allegedly threatened the owner of a late-night shop in Berlin with a knife on 18 April. Officers arrested him at Alexanderplatz at about 5:40 a.m. the following morning because it could not be ruled out that he was still armed. No knife was found during the subsequent search. After identification procedures, the suspect was released from police custody.
