Man allegedly threatens family with kitchen knife at Berlin accommodation

A 39-year-old man allegedly threatened a family with a kitchen knife at accommodation in Berlin-Heinersdorf on 9 April. According to initial findings, he entered the facility shortly after 10 p.m. despite being banned from the premises and was carrying the knife. When police arrived, he allegedly ignored orders to leave the building and put up substantial resistance during his arrest. A female officer and a male officer were injured. The man was brought to the ground with a conducted energy device, arrested, treated in hospital and later released from police custody. The investigation is ongoing.
