Group accused of attacking man with machete in Berlin
A group of five is accused of attacking a man outside a kiosk on Puschkinallee in Berlin-Alt-Treptow on Tuesday afternoon. According to the current findings and witness accounts, the group approached him at about 17:45 and allegedly struck him with a machete and a baton.
The man who was attacked then left in an unknown direction. A witness followed one of the alleged attackers, who was arrested by federal police near the scene. The 27-year-old man was released after his identity was established and he underwent identification procedures. A specialist unit of Berlin Police Directorate 3 is investigating.
