Man threatens Berlin car dealership employee with knife
A 34-year-old man is alleged to have threatened a 47-year-old employee at a car dealership on Alt-Mahlsdorf street in Berlin-Mahlsdorf on the morning of March 1. He sat down at the employee's workstation, placed a knife on the desk and made incoherent remarks. The employee called police.
The suspect fled by car along the B1, ignored police signals to stop and, during the pursuit, collided with several oncoming vehicles, a curb and a police vehicle. Officers arrested him using a conducted energy device. He was taken to the psychiatric department of a hospital because of unusual behaviour. A police officer sustained an arm injury during the arrest but remained on duty. The man was due to be brought before an investigating judge.
