Man threatens passengers on Berlin S-Bahn with pocketknife

On 25 February, a man allegedly first became involved in a physical altercation with another passenger on a regional train between Berlin-Wannsee and Berlin-Charlottenburg. After changing to an S-Bahn, he allegedly threatened three passengers with a pocketknife and damaged the train interior, according to federal police. Officers provisionally detained the 29-year-old at Berlin Central Station after threatening to use their firearms and seized a pocketknife. Investigations were opened on suspicion of, among other offences, bodily harm and making threats; he was released after police measures were completed.
