Man dies after knife attack in Herrsching
A 40-year-old man has died following a knife attack at an accommodation facility in Herrsching. Police said that he and a 36-year-old man had become involved in an argument on 3 June. The younger man is alleged to have drawn a knife and stabbed the 40-year-old several times, causing injuries to his chest and head.
Witnesses alerted police and emergency services. The injured man died in hospital after resuscitation attempts failed. Officers arrested the suspect shortly afterwards in his residential container. At the request of the public prosecutor's office, he was brought before a judge, who issued a detention order. Investigators are still examining the background to the argument.
