Fish seller threatened with bread knife in Wertheim

A man allegedly threatened a fish seller with a bread knife at a sales vehicle in the Bestenheid district of Wertheim on 6 March. Police said he had first asked for beer and became aggressive after being told that the stall did not sell alcohol. He allegedly took a bread knife from behind the counter and tried to force his way into the vehicle. The operator locked the door and called police. Officers located and provisionally detained a 37-year-old suspect and found the knife on him. The man was released after sobering up and is expected to face reports for threats, theft and insult.
