Man seriously injured in knife confrontation in Bad Segeberg
A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a confrontation near Bad Segeberg's market square and underwent surgery on Saturday morning. His injury was initially life-threatening, but police say his life is no longer at risk. At around 04:20, two groups had moved from a verbal dispute to a physical fight on Kirchstraße. A 23-year-old man allegedly used a knife, injuring the 24-year-old and at least one other man, also aged 23. Bystanders and then police treated the seriously injured man's bleeding wound. Three men, including the alleged knife attacker, fled by car, were later found at a hospital and provisionally detained; each had sustained minor injuries in the fight. Prosecutors ordered their release after police procedures. Criminal investigators are seeking witnesses.
