Man seriously injured with pointed object in Bad Pyrmont

At a restaurant on Brunnenstraße in Bad Pyrmont, a 24-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed a 64-year-old man in the neck with a pointed object during the night of 18 July. The suspect had allegedly harassed several guests beforehand. The victim underwent emergency surgery and, according to the current investigation, was no longer in danger of dying. The suspect initially fled but was provisionally detained after a short pursuit. During the detention, a police officer was lightly injured by a kick to the head but remained fit for duty.
