Man remanded after knife injury in Augsburg
At about 5:45 p.m. on 8 April, two men became involved in a physical altercation at Helmut-Haller-Platz in Augsburg. A 47-year-old man injured a 32-year-old man with a knife. Both men suffered minor injuries, were taken to hospital and were released after outpatient treatment.
The following day, the 47-year-old was brought before an investigating judge. The judge issued and executed a detention order on suspicion of attempted manslaughter, and the man is being held in a correctional facility. Criminal police continue to investigate the suspected attempted homicide.
