Man remanded after knife attack in Augsburg
At about 5 p.m. on 6 March, two men became involved in a dispute at the entrance to a gym on Bahnhofstraße in Augsburg. According to police, a 39-year-old pulled out a knife and stabbed a 27-year-old several times. The 27-year-old was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
Police arrested the 39-year-old at the scene. The following day, an investigating judge issued a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of attempted manslaughter at the request of prosecutors; he remains in pre-trial custody. Criminal police continue to investigate.
