Man threatens police officers with knife in Attendorn
Police were called on 15 March to a man causing a disturbance while carrying a knife on Dortmunder Straße in Attendorn. When officers approached the 31-year-old, he threatened them with the knife and moved towards them. The officers fired two warning shots, moved a woman out of his reach and used pepper spray, after which the man dropped the knife. They then subdued him. The man was slightly injured during the arrest and was first taken to hospital and then to a psychiatric facility. According to police, no other people were injured.
