Man with knife restrained at Aschersleben accommodation facility
Police were called to an assault at an accommodation facility in Aschersleben late on 21 January 2025. A 31-year-old man allegedly injured a 33-year-old man in the arm with a knife.
When officers arrived, the man was still holding the knife. He dropped it after repeated requests and was restrained. A police officer suffered a slight hand injury during the restraint but remained fit for duty. An emergency doctor was called because of the man's continuing aggressive behaviour, and a forced admission was arranged. Police opened several investigations.
