Possible knife use in dispute in Appenweier
A dispute between men escalated on Wednesday evening at an asylum accommodation facility on Sander Straße in Appenweier. Preliminary findings indicate that three people were involved in the confrontation, which developed shortly before 6:30 p.m., and that a knife may have been used. One of the men sustained a cut injury and was taken by emergency medical services to a hospital for outpatient treatment. Police and emergency medical services attended the incident. A participant who did not live at the facility was ordered to leave after police measures were completed. The cause of the dispute and the precise sequence of events remain under investigation.
