Man arrested after alleged knife threat on regional train
On 9 March at about 13:20, a man is alleged to have threatened a 46-year-old passenger with a knife and made stabbing motions towards him on a regional train travelling from Bühl to Appenweier. The passenger was not injured, moved away from the suspect and called emergency services. The alleged perpetrator left the train at Appenweier station. A search resulted in the arrest of a suspect, from whom a pocketknife was recovered. Federal police are investigating and seeking witnesses and possible further victims.
