Man allegedly pressured bank customer in Altdorf to withdraw cash with knife
A man is alleged to have threatened a bank customer outside a bank branch in Jahnstraße, Altdorf, on 4 September, reportedly with a knife. According to police, he demanded that the man withdraw and hand over cash. Bank employees alerted police, but the suspect was no longer at the scene when the first patrol arrived. During subsequent inquiries and search measures, a 38-year-old man was provisionally detained. Criminal police are investigating on initial suspicion of attempted aggravated robbery extortion.
